Tampa Bay seeks to win their first game of the season against a suddenly surging Carolina team led by third year quarterback Cam Newton. The Panthers are coming off a win against St. Louis, a game loaded with skirmishes between the two squads. It was a win that builds teams character. The Buccaneers can take a page out of their division rivals’ book if they want to avoid being the only 0-7 team in the NFC.

The last time these two teams met was last season, where a last minute pass from Tampa Bay QB Josh Freeman to Dallas Clark tied the game 21-21. The Buccaneers ended up winning in overtime, 27-21. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, neither Josh Freeman nor Dallas Clark are with the team, so current quarterback Mike Glennon and receiver Vincent Jackson will look to become the heroes in Tampa this Thursday.
