This Monday features one of the Super Bowl favorites heading to St. Louis to face their division foes. Seattle’s second year quarterback Russell Wilson has not dealt with a sophomore slump and is punishing defenses with his versatility. An inspired squad coached by Pete Caroll, the Seahawks are 6-1 and tied for first place in the NFC.
The Rams are the youngest team in the NFL and lost their quarterback Sam Bradford for the season with a torn ACL. Bradford was having a career year, having 15 touchdown passes to only 5 interceptions before he got injured. St. Louis was desperate enough to contact Brett Favre (who is 44 years young), who respectfully declined. Kellen Clemens is scheduled to start at QB for St. Louis on Monday.
Seattle is a heavy favorite, but Rams fans are well aware that the last time a quarterback on their team ended their season with a torn ACL, an unknown backup by the name of Kurt Warner shocked the league and won the city a Super Bowl that very year.
