Two teams that had high aspirations coming into the season are coming into Monday night’s game with a combined 1-10 record. The talent is there on both sides: Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen, Cordarelle Patterson, Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, and Eli Manning are just a few of the stars featured in tonight’s game.
The Vikings will begin the Josh Freeman era at quarterback. Freeman, who was dismissed earlier in the season by the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, looks to create some sort of offense against a reeling Giants’ secondary that desperately needs to make stops. Their defense will also need to create some turnovers. Eli Manning leads the league in interceptions, and coach Tom Coughlin may be coaching his last game in New York if the Giants lose.
