The Tennessee Titans host the visiting Indianapolis Colts this Thursday for an AFC South showdown. Both teams lost to underdogs last week, with the Titans giving Jacksonville their first win, and the Colts getting torched by Tavon Austin and the Rams. For the Titans, they lost more than the game, they also lost starting quarterback Jake Locker for the season. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start in place of him, hoping to get the Titans back to .500. The Colts have struggled finding an identity on offense ever since Reggie Wayne was lost for the season, and it was especially evident in the 38-8 loss against St. Louis last week. Andrew Luck looked uncharacteristically underwhelming, throwing 4 INT’s.
A win for Tennessee means that they would be only a game behind the Colts, with 5 games left to play. Top that off with being tied for a wild card spot, and Tennessee has much to play for in Nashville Thursday night. The Colts want to stay as close as possible to the Patriots in the AFC standing, and cannot afford losses in consecutive weeks if they want any chance of having a first round bye in the playoffs.
