Werdum will be defending his title for the first time since his submission-win over Cain Velasquez 11 months ago in Mexico City at UFC 188.
Miocic has one his last five out of six fights, but has back-to-back TKO wins against Hunt and Arlovski. Now he will fight for the title in Werdum’s home country of Brazil.
UFC 198 takes place May 14 at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
